This page explains what personal information ClickBuzz collects through this website and in our work, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

01

Who we are

ClickBuzz Media Ltd is responsible for your information. In data protection terms, we're the controller. We're registered in England and Wales, company number 16299040, and our registered office is [registered office address]. We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number [number].

For anything about your information, email connect@clickbuzzmedia.co.uk.

02

What we collect, and why

When you start a conversation. Your name and email, plus anything else you choose to give us: phone number, business name and website, what you'd normally ask an agency for, where you'd like the business to be, and how you heard about us. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of our conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us. If you ask us to prepare a proposal, it's also taking the steps you've asked for before a contract.

When you take the test ("What's holding it back?"). Your answers stay in your browser while you take it, so your result can be shown to you. We don't receive or store them, and the test doesn't ask for your name or email. If you choose "Talk it through with Asiful", your result is added to the Start form, and it's handled like any other conversation (see above).

Your result is worked out automatically from your answers. It's a starting point for a conversation and has no legal or similarly significant effect on you.

If you sign up for our notes in the footer, we'll send you the occasional note from ClickBuzz on building a bigger business. Our lawful basis is your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us.

When we work together. Contact details for the people we deal with, the information you share for the work, and billing records. Some of this comes from your colleagues, for example when someone adds you to a project. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the work we've been asked to do, or the contract itself if you contract with us personally, and our legal duty to keep financial records.

When you visit the site. Our Cookie policy explains what's collected and how to control it.

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with other companies for their own marketing.

On our forms, your name and email are needed so we can reply. Everything else is up to you.

03

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the business, each acting on our instructions: our website host, the tools that store form answers and send email, our website analytics, the software we use for files, accounts and day-to-day work (including AI tools), and our accountants. We'll also share information if the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store information outside the UK. When they do, we make sure a safeguard recognised under UK law is in place, such as a UK adequacy decision or approved contract clauses. You can ask us for details of the safeguard.

04

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: two years after we were last in touch, then deleted.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your email on a do-not-send list, so you aren't added again by mistake.
  • Billing and accounting records: six years from the end of the financial year they relate to, or longer where the law requires it.
  • Other client files: [period] after the work ends.

05

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable technical and practical steps to protect your information, including limiting who at ClickBuzz can see it to the people who need it for the work.

06

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you
  • correct anything that's wrong
  • delete it
  • limit how we use it, or object to a use based on our legitimate interests
  • send it to you or to another organisation in a format you can reuse

Some of these rights depend on why we hold the information, and we'll tell you if one doesn't apply. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Email connect@clickbuzzmedia.co.uk. We'll reply within one month, or tell you within that month if a complex request needs longer. In most cases there's no charge.

07

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to us at connect@clickbuzzmedia.co.uk. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it without delay, keep you updated, and tell you the outcome.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

08

Children

This site is for business owners. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

09

Other websites

10

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll tell you directly.
